Sprouting STEMS is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing comprehensive STEM tutoring for young students from underprivileged families. We started this organization with a keen interest in STEM and helping others.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to uplift children from underrepresented communities by offering them top-notch math and computer science education, helping to close the gap in STEM access and opportunities for young learners of all backgrounds. We aim to spark a love for coding and problem-solving, paving the way for future possibilities and nurturing a new, diverse generation of tech innovators. Through our programs, we foster curiosity and teamwork, empowering kids with essential skills and a growth mindset.
Founders and Tutors
SproutingSTEMS was founded by Jayden Chun and Daniel Kim, two high school students from Austin, TX. Inspired by their own experiences in computer science and mathematics, they saw the transformative power of early STEM education and the excitement it can spark in young learners. SproutingSTEMS was born to create a nurturing environment where children can explore their passion for STEM and reach their full potential.
The organization is supported by a team of skilled tutors who are experts in their fields and committed to expanding access to early STEM education. Their dedication and knowledge are key to empowering young learners to excel in STEM, making them the backbone of SproutingSTEMS. Together, they propel the mission to foster a generation of inquisitive, confident, and capable problem-solvers ready to face future challenges.
